You can unpublish the entire tab in CB > Tab Management. If you don't want the avatar field editable then edit the avatar field in CB > Field Management and turn off its edit display. I highly recommend reading the CB Primer Book and watching the YouTube videos below as basic tab and field management are both covered.

Edit the avatar field in CB > Field Management and under Parameters > Image Gallery set "Allow Gallery" to "Disable".
