I watched your tutorial maiq I did not understand how such display the avatar picture.

You need to substitute the avatar field like you've done already, but with HTML. This is done using the below substitution usage as shown in the substitution tutorial.

[cb:userfield field="FIELD_NAME" /]

What field can I call to indicate that the new member friend requests pending approval ?

There's no substitution for that.

Number of pending connections? Yes and no. No, there's no default substitution for it. Yes, it's possible using CB Query Field and querying for it then substituting it in. If you want the number of current connections though you can use [connections].
