I want a portfolio tab
in there I want to show up a short bio > no problem
Link to my videoreel > no problem
Link to an image gallery > now this seems to be a problem, as I can only get one image in with the image field and not the gallery setup, with categories and multiple images (makes sense as there is no Gallery field type)
Is there a way to do this anyways ? (or if I'm missing something please let me know)

Download, install and publish CB Gallery from this page:
I have that one already installed, so might not have been clear
If I use the photo part everything works like I want on a tab
but I want this functionality on another tab, with additional info like the bio and the video reel.
much like you can do with Activity, you can make that show up in any tab, becasue there is an activity field. My point is that the functionality from the image field is different to the functionality inside the CB Gallery, so I was hoping for an image filed definition which would allow me to do image categories which I can upload from the front end plus more photos than 1(like in the CB Gallery)
There's no Gallery fieldtype. Eventually we'll be getting rid of tabs in favor of field containers and everything will be able to behave as fields, but for now the only way to make this work is to use a Custom HTML field and substitute the tab in using the below usage.
Once substituted in move the original gallery tab to a not shown on profile position and should work as you're wanting.
