Users not able to add Profile images (avatars) or Canvas images

Another day, another issue to attempt to fix. Users signing up today are reporting the inability to uploaded profile images. It seems no matter how many attempts they make the images do not appear. This feature worked yesterday.

Also, it seems new users are unable to upload background images (canvas images) and some existing users have had their canvas images vanish (myself included). No matter how many times a user attempts to change/upload a new canvas image it fails.

Any and all suggestions/solutions appreciated.

What exact message are you seeing when you upload an image?

Please be more specific than "it fails" - this way I can help.

In addition to further explaining your issue as Nick requested please be sure you have everything up to date in accordance with the compatibility chart below.

www.joomlapolis.com/cb-20-addon-status

Having out of date or incompatible plugins could cause any number of issues.

If you run into an issue always debug with debug mode and maximum error reporting configured in Joomla global configuration.

Nick,

There is no error message for me or my users. Everything "acts" like it works but the image does not display. This is only happening for some users. Others are not effected. In the case of the canvas images some that were working fine on Monday simply stopped displaying Tuesday with zero input from the user.

Any of the plug-ins I am using from that list are the newest/up to date versions.

If you've CB Conditional or CB Privacy installed disable them both in CB > Plugin Management to see if issue goes away if it's still occurring as those 2 have control over field display. If issue persists please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look.
