Profilebook privacy settings was created by critski
I am trying to use profilebook as a feedback system. I would like people to be able to post to a persons profilebook but the entry be private to the person receiving the feedback unless they want to make it public. I'm not sure exactly how to do it I thought it would be be through CB Privacy but can't work out how to make the actual entries private.

I think the only way for that to work is the entries need to be unpublished by default, which is controlled by their cb_pb_autopublish field (there's one for Wall tab as well). You could set the field to not display on profile edit then default its value to 1 using CB Auto Actions and a field action on the after registration trigger. That'd force all new posts to be unpublished by default and they won't be able to change that behavior, but they could end up publishing the post. Aside from that there's no other way to do it aside from modifying the plugin to fit your needs.

I think that works! The auto publish button was the thing i was looking for. Is auto actions the only way to set it to default to unpublish? I don't really mind if they change it to published. Its just the default as unpublished thats important. On a seperate note are radio buttons always set as 1 to unpublish and 0 to publish?

Is auto actions the only way to set it to default to unpublish?

Basically, yes. We have a param to set the default registration value, but that only works if the field is actually displayed on registration.

On a seperate note are radio buttons always set as 1 to unpublish and 0 to publish?

No, edit the field and see what its values are.

You'd have to perform a database query on _comprofiler to update their CB rows and set the fields value.
