I've been told that the two conflict with each other which is why I cannot approve profile images uploaded on the frontend as Admin. The problem seems to be a plugin called "shlib - Db query cache and programming library". I need to disable to get things working again.

Any ideas?

We're not the developers of sh404SEF or shlib, so I've no idea what to tell you. You can probably just exclude CB from sh404SEF in sh404SEF configuration. We do not support 3rd party SEF as they're too aggressive and can't guarantee the URLs will reverse properly.
