I am working on lists and wondered how I could include an OR IsNull option to a field

Are you meaning for the filters? The "Not equal to", "Does not contain", and "Is not one of (,-separated values)" operators already handle IS NULL cases. Ensure you've latest CB nightly for latest fixes. You can also use an Advanced filter usage on your userlist and add custom SQL filtering to the userlist.
