[SOLVED] eCommerce Integration?

[SOLVED] eCommerce Integration? was created by Thelowlandpiper
Am I right in thinking that there are no longer any eCommerce applications that can integrate with CB/CBSubs? The shop is a crucial part of our community site and the VM integration was really useful. I appreciate the problems with VM; are there other options?

As I understand it the previous CBSubs VM integration would just place CBSubs subscribers in specific VM buyer groups.

I believe this is still doable with the built-in Joomla integration where you can put subscribers in an additional Joomla group and just use that as a method to do the same in VM.

I guess you can also use a CBSubs SQL integrations statement to manipulate your VM database tables also as needed.

That would be possible; but it's the log-in integration that I'm not sure I'm up to handling with triggers and SQL... I can see how to use the userid from the comprofiler_sessions table but I can't see how to pass this to VM;

I don't see why you'd need to pass it to VM. As I understand it the latest VM releases don't use their own login anymore, but just use Joomla and Joomlas session. If that's not the case you can use a Code action in CB Auto Actions to execute VM API as needed.

I'm not sure about that either; but Joomla users table does not hold addresses.
I've now got this working using auto-actions, and will post the code here.
