I know that the loadposition is not supported, but I'm wondering if there is another way to place any joomla module inside the tab (i.e. via the Custom HTML field?)
thanks!

lodposition and loadmodule both will work. Create a Custom HTML module and under its parameters enable prepare content. This also works for other fields under their Layout parameters. See the below for loadposition and loadmodule usage.

@ Kyle:btw, thanks for all the answers today.
OK - my mistake: I didn't see the "prepare content using CMS.." in Parameters of the CB field - must have read an older post that said this was not possible - thanks, it works as intended!
Best!

Create a new tab in CB > Tab Management if you haven't already or ignore this step if you've a tab in mind. Next within CB > Field Management create a new Custom HTML field then under Parameters set "Prepare content using CMS Content plugins" to "Yes". You can now use loadposition/loadmodule or any content.prepare plugin in your Custom HTML field.
