[SOLVED] Setup visibility of modules depending on plan

9 years 1 month ago - 9 years 1 month ago #270283 by zahmundzornig
It sounds easy, I search in the manual and forum, but I didnĀ“t find the way to do it: I like to show modules depending on users plan. What I did:

Go to the plan -> Integration -> Extension
Go to "My Modules - Modules which access depends on this plan"

Ok, done. I selected ALL modules, only two modules are not selected. This two modules must disapear for this plan users. But nothing happens. I tryed the other way (only the two modules are selected), but the selected modules are still there for this plan. What is it what I forgot?

Thank you!
Michael

What versions of CB/CBSUBs?

Make sure you are using latest CB 2.0.10 / CBSubs 4.0.1 nightlies from here:

Hi Nick,

I use the latest CB and CBsubs. 2.0.10 and 4.0.1., also the latest Joomla version.

IĀ“m confused:
1. IĀ“m logged in with a user who has Plan A in frontend. (Usergroup: Registered)
2. I setup the module access as described for Plan A in backend.
3. I checked the frontend and nothing happens. All modules are still visible.
4. I logged out in frontend. Now IĀ“m Usergroup Public. NOW I can see the module access setup, what I made for Plan A! The modules disappeared as setuped in Plan A.

I know that I can put the access level "Public" on "No access restriction for Groups", but that did not help me with the issue, that the modules has to disapear for Plan A.

I think I missed a setup issue somewhere, but I canĀ“t find it...

Michael

Your test case sounds like it's working fine. If you're logged in with a user that is subscribed to Plan A then they'll see the modules that are protected by Plan A. On logout you have no user and are not subscribed to Plan A so all the modules hide. So not sure I'm understanding what your issue is exactly, sorry.

Hi Kyle,

I got the point. I thought I have to deactivate the module in Plan A. But in the end I have to assign the module in Plan B, so it disappears in Plan A. Now it works.

Thank you!
