I have enabled the edit user username on the front end. When a user edit it it does change the profile user name but not the real username used for messages, connections ect...
Would it be possible to enable users to really change their username by themselves?
Changing the username will change it anywhere that it's pulled through CB getFields API or even directly from Joomlas database. Any username stored in a PM message for example won't change as that's just a string parsed at time of message send.

Actually it doesn't work this way in my cb platform and I don't understand why.
Here is an exemple:
1) I send a contact request with the user "ABC"... request is received from user "ABC"
2) I update the username of ABC to ABCD
3) I send a contact request from user ABCD... request is received as user "ABC"
Are you user it's using Username and not Name? Formatname field output is based off whatever "Name Format" is set to in CB > Configuration > General.
