I'm using this code to display content to s specific group. Works perfect with native Joomla articles.

{cb} [cb:if gids includes "11"]
Insert Staff Only Content Here
[/cb:if] {/cb}

However, when I use it with a third party extension (Freestyle FAQ), within a FAQ, it doesn't work and just shows the code snippet.

What is it within the native Joomla content that makes this code work? Maybe this aspect is missing from the third party extension???

Anything using Joomla content.prepare needs to send a proper article structure or it won't work. This can be an stdClass with the appropriate variables in it to match a Joomla content article so the content.prepare extensions can properly parse it. You'll need to contact the developer of your extension regarding this as they'll need to adjust their content.prepare implementation.
