Greetings,

I am trying to provide a solution for a client that is going paperless from a long standing hard-copy, paper document office process/system to using digital documents that are hugely primarily MS Word and Excel.

I have implemented the fantastic CB Gallery plugin, which is perfect for allowing office staff to upload documents to member profiles!!

But, I'm being challenged with enabling a WebDAV like feature, so that uploaded documents can be opened from a member profile, edited and saved directly in place at the server rather than having to open a document, edit it, save it locally, then have to upload it.

So, the question.

Can the CB Gallery be advanced somehow to enable WebDAV editing for MS Word and Excel documents?

Or, there is another component out there, Artio.net JoomDOC 4, that has ability to work with WebDAV. But, it doesn't integrate with CB. There used to be a JoomDOC/CB plugin, but it has not been updated for years, and is no longer supported. It can be found on the joomlapolis.com site by searching 'joomdoc'.

Other alternative, is maybe CB Profile Pro would work to tie in a JoomDOC module using the User ID? Rather work in some advanced feature with CB Gallery.

Thank you!!!

There are no plans to extend CB Gallery with WebDAV editing. CB Profile Pro is just for having more customized profiles by using substitutions to layout the profile. It has no such functionality. Looks like extension wise JoomDOC is your only option and appears to be maintained, but I've no idea if they've a CB integration or plans for one (we have no plans to provide one).
