Hi Kyle,

CB 1.9.1
groupjive:2.6.1

I would like to know about groupjive events. On our web app we want to allow

1. groupjive group owner to create event and then let that event be visible to all those who are part of that group
2. Allow the events visible out of group to public i.e. on main groupjive page we admin can see all the upcoming events added by the individual groups and we want to allow this event listing visible.
3. Showing events in calender on frontend using groupjive.

Please guide me on this. I see there is groupjive evens plugin available and I see this as enabled but not sure how to use it and whether it will meet our need. So raising the clarification on forum to get your expert opinion.

Warm Regards,
Amit Dangwal

1. groupjive group owner to create event and then let that event be visible to all those who are part of that group

In the current release you can select who can create events. In next release any active user in the group can create events unless events are disabled then only group owners and group administrators can create events.

2. Allow the events visible out of group to public i.e. on main groupjive page we admin can see all the upcoming events added by the individual groups and we want to allow this event listing visible.

There is no page to view all group events at this time. There are no plans to add such pages. The integrations are an extension of the group. They are not meant to be used standalone.

3. Showing events in calender on frontend using groupjive.

GJ Events is list based and not calendar based. There are no plans to change it to a calendar.

Thanks Kyle. So "in this version" means 2.7.0 or can I use it in 2.6.1 as well ?

Thanks,
Amit

In my reply "in this version" means 2.7.0. I don't know what issues are present in 2.6.1, but that's a pretty old release.
