It already shows thumbnails in the gallery tab. When clicking the image it shows the fullsize with a link to the original. Don't understand what you're asking, sorry.

That's for the albums. They currently don't show thumbnails or allow the icon to be changed per album. Both features are planned for a later release. Please be sure to see the forge below for already planned features and known bugs.
