[SOLVED] CBSubs - paypal refunds broken was created by mikerotec
Did something change recently in Paypal?

Trying to refund a purchase through CBSubs, I get the error

"Needed Paypal API username, password, and signature not set (...) refund request failed".

You need to configure the PayPal API parameters within your PayPal gateway to issue refunds or perform cancellations onsite. Please ensure it's configured within your gateway and if not please see the CBSubs documentation in addition to the gateway parameters for further information.

That's kinda weird, as if I recall correctly, paypal refunds used to work for us!


Could paypal have changed their API without telling us/you? Or is this just because we're still on version 3 of CBsubs, and only 4 has the latest spec?

There was some notice about certificate upgrades recently, but our system checks out for that ( see www.joomlapolis.com/forum/153-professional-member-support/231113-solved-cbsubs-will-it-be-affected-by-upcoming-paypal-changes )

PayPal refunds have always needed the API credentials as far as I can remember. It would be a bit strange to be able to issue a refund with no form of verification.
