CB works off this Joomla option.

I'm now going down the CB Subs route with this...

I have set up my plans and assigned which usergroup each gets assigned to
(Paid Subscriptions > Plans > Access > Subscribers User access level settings = registered), however no matter which plan is selected, a new user is added to every Joomla usergroup! (they are also assigned to their relevant plan).

I have Allow User Registration set to No in Joomla User Options (with New User Registration Group set to Registered) as recommended in CB > Configuration > Registration > Allow user registration (which is set to Yes, Independent of CMS).

You select the default registration usergroup within Users > Manage > Options by adjusting "New User Registration Group" under the Component tab. CB will always give them this usergroup during registration.

CBSubs then can add to this on a plan by plan basis. Each plan can give 1 additional usergroup. This is done under the Access tab of your plans with the "User Group" parameter.

If your users are being given every usergroup then you may have something else installed doing this as CB and CBSubs can't with the above functionality. CB Auto Actions most certainly can though so be sure to check your actions if it's installed.

Sorry for the extraordinary time it's taken to get back to this!!!

It was Auto Actions that I had previously set and forgot about that were adding users to multiple groups. I have since deleted them and registration is now working fine using CB Subs, however I'm still unable to hide/show specific fields when selecting their subscription at signup.

I have 3 plans (Full Members, Associate Members & Registered) that each have their own set of fields. I want users to select a plan which then displays that plan's respective fields (ie: Registered only needs to fill in email/username/password, however selecting Full Membership would require email/firstname/lastname/cb_address/cb_state etc).

I have tried different variations in the CBSubs Fields Tabs Protect settings under Integrations in Field Management for each field, but this appears to relate to settings for existing users!

Can I apply Conditionals to the "Select your membership plan" values that show/hide the other fields required? Or do/can I go about it another way?

During registration you can only hide fields based off plan selection. This is done with the "Hides fields at registration" parameter under the "Workflows" tab. For profile edit and profile view you'd use CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection to protect fields based off subscription.

Thanks Krileon, working perfectly :)

Is it possible to hide all fields until a subs plan is selected, then show/hide the field options according to the plan?

I'd also like to be able to change the layout for Display registration choice on: With title on the left of all plans... so that the plan period and price sit next to the plan name, not below (I'm guessing this is a template override).

No, not unless you had a plan for that. I guess you could make a free lifetime plan and set it as default then use CSS to hide its plan row. That plan would be configured to hide every field.

You'll need to make a custom CBSubs template or use CSS. See the CBSubs rounded template for example of making installable template plugin for CBSubs.
