Hi!

I have a problem with the reset password function in CB. Iam not retrieving an email when reseting my password at the frontend of my website.

"Lost username" is working fine and i am getting an email, but when i choose "Lost password" the password gets reset to something random, but iam not getting an email with the new password or link. :huh:


Iam using PHP mailer, CB version 2.0.11 and Joomla 3.4

No email to spam folder? Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration then retry to see if an error could be occurring.

Hi!
I have checked my spam folder, but there is no e-mail. Iam not getting any errors when enabling debug mode. When I press "send new password" it gives me a succes, but nothing is send to my e-mail. :huh:
I have tried with other users aswell.

This thread is about a very similar issue. It's from less than 2 weeks ago, so perhaps it relates to this?

edit: Just reread that thread and the other thread that points to it. Only relation is that it is about recovering lost username or password. Might not be related to the 'nothing arrives' issue.

Please contact your host and have them review the mailer logs. If you're receiving a success message it means the mailer API didn't respond with an error. It could be an issue in the mail server it self.

Hi again,

I have contacted my hosting company and they are saying the mailer is working. I just need to make sure iam using PHP mail() instead of SMTP.

What is the standard for community builder?
