Groupjive 3 Beta1 images

Thrilled to see the new GroupJive 3 (although still Beta 1...) alive.

Trying things out, I created a new group. Then trying to get an image for canvas and logo in that group, other than the default.

I am able to select an image locally (from my PC files...) but upload button is not available.
Having said this, also trying to select an image from the default images cannot be done, since the "select" button still only shows locally available images without upload possibility.

I am sure this will be changing with one of the next issues of GroupJive 3.

I don't understand your issue. You need to select the file to upload, finish filling the form out, then click Upload at the bottom of the page. See the below for what the form should look like. This is all working fine on my dev and testing environments.





There is nothing being output by GJ to disable the Upload button at the bottom of the page. The file selection window has nothing to do with GJ. That's entirely dependent on the browser.

What am I trying to do?
logged in on the administrator's side.
I just created a new group. It has a name and some description. No members yet...
I would like to set the canvas and a logo in order to style those group features. A canvas and logo that reflect the name of this new group.

I am not trying to upload a photo within that group. That will be for new members of the group after the creation is a fact.
Merely improving the features of that new group, so that it is better recognized by potential new members on the frontside.

Once I created a new group with all bells and whistles on it, new members will try to do other tasks like uploading photos to that group or putting anything on the wall. I am sure that this part will work as you've shown me with a picture.

To change the canvas and logo for a group from backend select the file to upload and click one of the save buttons. If you're asking for a logo/canvas gallery there isn't one and there are currently no plans for one. If you want to globally change the default then that's done from CB GroupJive > Parameters > Images > Defaults.

Yes, I am able to select "standard" in the position you mention, but nothing else.

May I understand from your reply, that the only way to change a canvas and logo from any group, I can only upload and replace the only file that is present in:

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbgroupjive/templates/default/images/

canvas.png and logo.png

I did already upload different files to this location but I am not able to "select" those as an alternative to "standard".

In this case the choice of "standard" would be useless, isn't it?

With CB GroupJive Beta 1, you can set images per group in the front end.

Here I am editing an existing group:



Create a new group:




Maybe it's a permissions issue? Try doing this as super user and see if your get the options.
