[SOLVED] CB Activity settings was created by drhustle
Hello I am using the CB activity plugin to allow users to post status updates on their profile.

I want to set it to where when someone visits a profile they can see what that person has posted on their activity timeline.

The way it is now, when I visit a profile I can see what is on my timeline and what my connections have posted on my timeline but not what is on the profile owners timeline. Even when I am logged in as the super user I can't see what users have posted on their profile.

The activity plugin and tab are set to public at this time.

Please let me know if what I am trying to do is possible and if the settings are specific I can adjust them if you provide them in the feedback. If necessary I can also provide login credentials.

Thanks

When you visit the profile of another user you will see their activity or the activity directly targeting them. When you visit your profile you will see your activity, activity directly targeting you, and your connections activity. Please ensure you've latest CB 2.x and CB Activity nightly releases if this is not behaving as expected. If issue persists please provide PHP version.

I have finally had a chance to revisit this issue and I'll try to explain it as best as I can.

When I visit a user profile it shows a variety of status updates from other users in the CB activity area at the bottom. I would like it to only show the user or the users friends (or which ever it is supposed to do by default)

I have included a screenshot of one of the profiles. You will see the profile pic and name, as you look down you will see the status updates that some users have posted. This specific user also created a status update but it doesn't show up in the timeline at all. Even when I scroll all the way down.

Not sure if I have the settings configured wrong or if it's something else. Any assistance in getting it set up to show just the users status updates on their timeline would be appreciated.

The PHP version is 5.3, I have the latest joomla and CB version installed as well.

You guys have always come through so when you get a chance to look into let me know. If you need some login credentials to log into the back end, let me know.

Thanks

Yes, when you view another users profile you see their activity or the activity directly targeting them (e.g. post directly on their wall and you should see it there).

In your response you stated - "Yes, when you view another users profile you see their activity or the activity directly targeting them"

but what is happening is when I visit another users profile I see MY activity feed.

So I checked again and indeed what is happening is when I visit other user profiles, no matter who they are it is MY activity feed that is showing up on their profile. I checked by going to users that I have a connection with and users I don't have a connection with and it is still my same activity feed on all of profiles I visit and not theirs.

For example, I use this site for a class I teach and I gave the class an activity to create a profile and make a post with a hashtag. The only way I can find their post is to click the hashtag. When I go to their profile their post doesn't show, but I know they did one because it shows up in the list of posts when I click the hashtag.

In the screen shot that I sent in in the previous post, I don't have a connection with that user profile but it is the post from my connections at the bottom of the image. That user doesn't have any connections and the post they created is not showing.

Shouldn't that users post be on their own profile?

Hmm - I cannot confirm this behavior you are seeing on my test sites.

Can you please upgrade to latest CB/CB Activity/CB Auto Action nightlies from this page and retest:
