Hi,

I'm getting the above on correct login following an incorrect one - ie I log in with the wrong password or whatever and I get the login form page again. If I now log in correctly I get the "profile does not exist" message. I'm using Joomla 3.4.5 with CB 2.0.11 and the Purity iii template. I suspect the template may be the issue as I've tried a setup with one of the Joomla-suppled templates and don't get the problem.

Did you migration from CB 1.x? If so please edit your CB menu items and correct their menu types. Do you've a login redirect specified in your CB Login module? If so what is it? If not do you've a Redirect action configured in CB Auto Actions? If so try disabling it.

I set up a separate clean Joomla install and put CB on, and had no problems, so I gradually removed things from the problematic setup (the Purity template, menu items etc etc) and finally arrived at the login redirect, which I had set to index.php/cb-profile/userprofile. Taking that out cleared the problem. I then checked to see if there were any replies on here - wish I'd looked earlier, would have saved me some time!

I'm intrigued to know why the redirect causes the problem - I would imagine a lot of sites would have the same thing. Is it a fixable bug?

Just an update - I put in a redirect to index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=userprofile and it works fine.

All redirects should always be non-SEF. So you may want to check your install further to ensure you've no other SEF redirects configured anywhere. If you want your redirect to SEF according to a specific menu item you can append &Itemid=ITEM_ID_HERE.
