I would like for my registered members to be able to create a article (custom form) from their profile page. Would i have to create an category in K2 or Joomla and is it possible to create fields in this custom form so that the search tool can be utilize.
Only thing we have that comes close to that is CB Blogs for creating blog entries. CB Blogs can integrate with Joomla or K2 as needed. They can't create categories from CB Blogs, but just blog entries. For what you're wanting the article submit page provided by Joomla or K2 would probably be best.
