Would it be possible to have a tab(or menu) showing the activity of only your connections activities (where you could also directly reply) ?
As far as I know, you can :
get the overview of all posts from all members (without being able to reply?)
get a TAB with just the overview of the activity performed by that connection(posting and answering)
Recent Activity shows the entire sites activity. You can comment on activity of the users you're directly connected to (or anyones if connections is disabled). My Activity and Activity tab both show your activity and your connections activity when viewing your self. The Activity tab of another users always shows their activity or activity directly related to them. For now these are the only options available. Filtering of the activity stream is planned in a later release (e.g. down to a Type, a User, a Connect Type, etc..).

if i start at the top all makes sense as I can see the recent activity
Than after a number of posts(in this case 7 days, while clean up has been set to 1 month) I get the option to put in a new activity post
Beneath this there is again the last activity posted and a lot more after that
Looks to me, that the first part (till the new entry activity option) is for the users connection and after the new activity post option is the activity of everyone ?
I'm not seeing such an issue with activity dating as far back as a year. Are you sure that's not just a module displaying? Is that showing after using the "More" button? Please ensure you've latest CB 2.x nightly and latest CB Activity nightly.
