Problem would be solved if the GJ Wall could be a stream of all the activity inside the group. I believe that would be solved in the 3.1 update.

The &tab= usage works for all our tab usages. So it should also work fine in GJ. For example &tab=Events will open the events tab.

Hey Kyle,

if the tabs are accessible via URL then you have a logical fail in your notification emails. When someone makes an event, the link for eg Cooking group in the notification email should contain &tab=Events.

That way Users (who are the thing that always fails in a website) dont have to locate the event button. It makes it more user friendly.

If you do not want to do it, then please tell me how I can simply add &tab=Events to the notification email.

Quick update... the links per tab do not work. I have tried with Cloudflare enabled, without cloudflare enabled etc... Always shows the profile but without opening the tabs.

That's already fixed for stable GJ release. The event title for example will now be linked and go directly to the events tab.

I'm unable to confirm your issue linking directly to tabs works fine in my tests. If you use title linking it's subject to translation issues and should use tab id instead for profile tabs. Example as follows for Blogs tab.

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=userprofile&tab=8

This is basically linking to the tab element id without the cbtabnav prefix. The element id for the blogs tab is cbtabnav8, but the prefix isn't needed in the linking.

In the case of GJ the tabs have the following ids.

grouptabwall
grouptabvideo
grouptabphoto
grouptabfile
grouptabevents
grouptabforums
grouptabusers
grouptabinvites

OK I havent figured out the bit with the links yet. It does work on my own profile if I use "index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=userprofile&tab=67" but not when I go on someone else's profile.

What would be the link to use for getting directly to tab=67 on someone else's profile? munich.international-friends.net/network/profile/userprofile/Aliosha

More precisely, I have a classifieds section on the website and have a link to sellers profile. I also have several tabs and users cannot find the "Reputation" tab.

Thanks,

Tim
