I'm trying to implement the Private Message System plugin and can't seem to access any of the parameters! I have found the following screenshot:

however none of the global parameters are available to me in Private Message System edit...


I also have the Private Message field published and set to visible on registration and profile edit, however this field doesn't appear on either!

Am I missing a component? I want registered users to be able to see who is online and message each other (preferably by clicking on a username directly from the Community Builder Online module, or simply via a link in their profile).

I have implemented Connections, however all this seems to do is let users connect and see who is connected to who (does Connections provide any other functionality?).

That's the UddeIM PMS plugin. "Private Message System" is included with CB and it has no such parameters as those parameters were for language strings which are now just language strings and not parameters. For PMS to work you should only need to install the UddeIM component then publish "Private Message System" within CB > Plugin Management. See the CB 2.0 Primer Book for further details.

Thanks Kyle,

I tried finding out about it in Articles and Tutorial without any luck. Have now downloaded the CB 2.0 Primer Book :)

I've got it all working... but for the life of me I can't work out why the PM link Send Private Message is displaying twice!!!

I'm also getting a duplicate icon in the connections profile tab...

Because you most likely have 2 private messaging CB plugins - the one that comes with Cb and another one you installed from uddeIM.

unpublish one of these.
