For approximately 1% of the 200 new subscribers to our new Joomla Website, the registration confirmation link:

usncva.org/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=confirm&confirmcode=regbad12c96b3e055cf04dd168063d0607c0c1b36a4&Itemid=199

misdirects to the Login view:

usncva.org/component/users/?view=login

instead of displaying the successful registration confirmation message. Any ideas why?

Thanks.

Site particulars:
Joomla version: 3.4.5
CB version: 2012
PHP version: 5.6.15
MySQLi version: 5.5.42-37.1-log

Review the Joomla menu item associated with Itemid 199 and ensure it's public and published. Also review what menu type it is. If you migrated from CB 1.x ensure all your CB menu items have correct menu types.

There is no menu item ID 199 in any menu. That is the link ID created by CB for a prospective user to click to confirm her or his email address.

This is a new installation, not a migration from CB 1.x.

Cheers.

There has to be a menu item with Itemid 199 as that's what's in the URL. That or the confirmation notification has been modified and that was appended directly to the confirmation URL. It's sending to Joomla users component as well and appears to be a Joomla menu item access error.

There.is.no.menu.itemid.199.

I have been all through the Website - I created it - and the MySQL database.Still, 1% of new registrants receive a confirmation email with the link:

ndex.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=confirm&confirmcode=reg4dd73b52cd1be1579e237a0ca2b7962a0c1b36a0&Itemid=199

that, when clicked, opens:

component/users/?view=login

that returns an immediate error displayed in System Messages as:

Please login first

The Login function is open to the public: usncva.org/

I created a public User Profile menu item in a special Menu Category that is alive but not available from the public frontend. I created a My Profile link that is hidden to the public but available to registered users. This follows the protocol described in the PDF users guide. Still, not most but only 1% of individuals who register a user account have the problem described. If you have any further suggestions, I will be very appreciative because this is driving me up the wall - have never seen this behavior before.

Thanks.

Very difficult to track if only happening to so few users.

Something is pulling in the item id that kyle mentioned.
