CB Connect 5.2.2 - Get Email Facebook/twitter

Hello,

I installed on my Joomla 2.5.28 with C Builder 1.9.2 plugin CB connect, supports the latest version 5.2.2

But I have a question ...

In the case of a new register:

Is it possible to get the original email account facebook / twitter to add it to my DB?

When I make a new register, I have two options:
1 Link my facebook / twitter account with a CB.
2 Add an email to create your account.

The problem is that this email may be false: -S I want the email of Facebook/twitter original user.

Regarding your current versions - everything is obsolete (you know this of course) so there is no way anyone can really comment on specific things working or not.

For example I am pretty sure that the version of CB Connect you have will not work with the latest Facebook API. The new Facebook API is supported in the CB Connect 6.0 b4 release which needs CB 2.0+.

I am also aware that the twitter API does not give email.

But if the latest version of Facebook in CBConnect 5.2.2 API works.

There is a post krileon, explaining a change of line to make it compatible, and it works.

So .... Is there no way to get the original email from the social network, in version 5.2.2?

As far as I know email addresses (at least for facebook but definetly not for twitter) could be retreived from CB Connect 5.2.2.
No idea if you patch to new API changes maybe broke this for you.

Not much more I can help with on this topic.
CB Connect 6.0 b4 is the latest and it is still waiting for the external HyperAuthorize API library update before it can go stable.

So this roadmap is at a standstill at the moment and even then the new stable release will require (as do the beta releases) CB 2.0+.

The endpoint APIs have changed. Older CB Connect releases will not work. There is no getting around this beyond upgrading to 7.x beta, which works with the 3 major social networks. See the below for further information.
