Maybe a stupid question, but i have the main site and everything works as it should
created a subdomain from scratch (for trying out some new things) and everything works apart from editing of profiles ?
Updated to a bigger hosting for this, updated the amount of memory, time etc but for some reason trying to exacute this seems to time out
Doesn't work isn't descriptive enough for me to suggest anything. What do you mean it doesn't work? You can't reach profile edit? Clicking the update button does nothing? Profile indicates it updated successfully, but no field values changed? Have you tested with debug mode and maximum error reporting enabled in Joomla global configuration? Any fatal errors during said test? Is configuration.php setup correctly for the subdomain?

nothing happens other than waiting, it never gets the actual geefback from the script (also the brwoser doesnt display the link to edit profile when hitting the button) Eventually it will timeout
Backend > If you select a user to edit it will never open, just keeps doing something and times out
Ensure live_site within configuration.php is empty or appropriately set to reach the subdomain. Press F12 to open the developer console then click the Network tab and check Preserve Log (or click the respective button, depends on browser). Next try to edit a user and it should log the network activity to see what the response code is as well as what URL it's even trying to reach.
