I have a tab (Send Private Messages) that I want for one usergroup to appear in CB menu. Another usergroup will have to buy a subscription to get access to the tab. So far so good...
I would like the tab in CB Menu to disappear though for those that have bought the subscription and the tab to appear in position Column 1. When I am using substitution and put the disappearance in Menu down to CB conditional and conditioning on Usergroup, my substitution field also disappears...
Only possibility is to have both?
Also, is it possible to include a CAPTCHA for non-registered users when they want to send a PM?
Further "problem"... I need to duplicate the photos tab so that I can hide one for one usergroup and show it for another... but I cannot do that since they are systems tabs... What am I doing wrong?
CB Menu is a dropdown menu. It doesn't hold tabs. So I've no idea what you're trying to do in that regard, sorry. You can add new menu entries using CB Auto Actions, which has an Access parameter to limit who the new menu entry is visible to.
If you want a tab to be limited to a subscription then use CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection as it can protect access to a tab base off the profile owner and/or the viewers subscription.

We've no control over UddeIM. UddeIM I believe has a Captcha functionality though. It maybe a part of the UddeIM premium though.

You can't make new plugin tabs. CB Gallery however lets you display any gallery in any of its gallery tabs so you could have the Video tab show Photos for example, but I wouldn't get too comfortable with this functionality as it's planned to be removed. The only other way to do what you're wanting is to substitute in the tab using a Custom HTML field in another tab and the tab substitution usage shown in the below tutorial.
