[SOLVED] UPDATE issues was created by marse7
Trying to update a site from Joomla 2.5.10 to Joomla 3.x. I'm having some issues with CBSubs after the update.

The Members List on the front end won't show the users and it only lists 21 active members even though there are over 400.

The site is currently offline. I don't know how to leave credentials if you need to see the site. Please advise.

Can you help?

Thanks,
Mark

You should be able to update to latest CB 2.0 nightly and CBSubs 4.0.1 nightly - even on Joomla 2.5 - from following links:

www.joomlapolis.com/component/docman/doc_details/640-community-builder-nightly-build

www.joomlapolis.com/component/docman/doc_details/671-cbsubs-gpl-nightly-build

Your last screenshot indicates that you did not upgrade everything in CBSubs.

Please download and install again making sure that you install over every element in CBSubs (all integration plugins and Joomla plugin/module) and test again.

Thank you for the links!

I had updated everything and disabled some like DOCMAN which I am not moving forward with (I think - not sure which document handler I will end up with). The site is completely up-to-date.

But I still can't see any members' names in the members directory and the count is still 21, not 400+. Everything worked perfectly in 2.5 but it's not in 3.5.8. so far. The backoffice seems okay though which is a huge relief.

BTW, I watched your excellent video tutorial on updating to 3.x and there is, perhaps, a missing piece in that Joomla apparently no longer supports the JTableInterface::load() in the same way. This caused no end of problems - some components that didn't show up in the update list were not compatible and because there was three of them(DT Register, Chronforms and one other,) the error messages didn't show up at all. I finally got some debugging to display (nothing was showing no matter what I did) and saw the fatal errors and was able to disable the components until the home page came back. I will be updating all the disable components today.

Why didn't I do that in the first place? Two reasons: DT Register indicated that you should update Joomla before them (wrong!) and you mentioned some component and plugins working with 3.x as well as they did in 2.x and when I saw there were no updates I made the incorrect assumption that they would work. This is wholly my fault, I am not laying blame or even pointing fingers - it is just an FYI.

Thanks in advance. You guys never fail to help.

This can also happen from access permission issues. Specifically CB Core should be set to Public in CB > Plugin Management for example. Visibility issues are almost always access permission related. If you're using CB Privacy or CB Conditional you could also have issues with users being hidden or conditioned away. The other typical cause is conflicts from 3rd party extensions.

Kyle,

I have disabled all extensions except for CB Subs and checked the permissions you mentioned. I am still not seeing all the members on the front end.

As mentioned everything is completely up-to-date.

Anything else I can try?

Thank you,
Mark
