Session Expiration On Login Page

Session Expiration On Login Page was created by noxillioux
Hi guys, I have an urgent problem. Saw a number of other users having the same problem on this forum, but there were too many responses so I am confused regarding the solution.

Everytime I login - For The First Time - as a new user, I do NOT get the problem.

When I login again - For The Second and Additional Times - as the same user, I get the error "Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser. Please refresh/reload page before filling-in."

You can try to register and test this behaviour at tutor.studioilmu.com.my

I do not have the problem if I login using Joomla's Login Component. I only have the problem when I login using Community Builder's menu. I also do not the problem if I change the menu item to Joomla's built in User/Login Form. I have the problem when I change it back to Community Builder/Login Form.

I am using Chrome with cookies enabled. I have no other tabs running and I have restarted Chrome umpteen times. Still the same.

Thank you for your quick response. Thanks.

Solved the problem by redirecting the user to the home page after a successful login.

Joomla Extensions > Modules > cb-login > Login Options > Login Redirect URL

Caching is almost always the culprit for session expired issues. You can not use caching with CB as we use security tokens for our forms to prevent spam/abuse. If the token doesn't change on every reload you'll have issues like session expired. Ensure CBs system plugin in Extensions > Plugins is the first system plugin loaded, is public, and is published as we clear CBs page caching to help avoid these issues.

Thanks for your reply. caching has always been disabled on our website as it is still undergoing changes for now.

How do I do this - "Ensure CBs system plugin in Extensions > Plugins is the first system plugin loaded"

Within Extensions > Plugins find "System - Community Builder" then ensure it's published, public, and ordered as the first system plugin.
