3 questions about using CB Activity was created by joanie57
Hello! I've had CB for years, but this is the first time I've tried to use CB Activity.

I have it set as a module, in the Banner position so it is above the articles on the Home page.

1. Is there any way to limit the size of the module, so it doesn't get so big that the beginning of the articles is out of view? Can it be set so that the user can scroll just the module?

2. Is there any way to eliminate the avatars on each Activity post, to save space?

3. Do I have to be using GJ in order to use CB Activity?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Edit your activity module and configure it to show a limited number of activity entries. You can also turn off paging for it so it only shows latest 3 activity for example. Beyond that the height will be variable to the contents of the activity. There's no limiting that unless you write some CSS to limit its height.

2. Is there any way to eliminate the avatars on each Activity post, to save space?

Not without modifying the activity template files or writing CSS specifically for the module to hide them.

3. Do I have to be using GJ in order to use CB Activity?

No.

Thanks so much for the reply! We decided to put the Activity Stream on a separate page, as a menu item in the Main Menu. That works well, and keeps the home page open for articles that can be seen without scrolling.

I have another question about CB Activity. Is it possible to set it so that hitting "enter" is the same as clicking the "Post" button? The way it is set now, hitting the "enter" key just starts a new line.

Nope, it's behaving as intended.

The way it is set now, hitting the "enter" key just starts a new line.

It's intentionally working that way so you can add linebreaks to a post.
