cb gallery/jce editor

Hey I try to access the cb gallerys user image gallery inside jce editor.

/images/comprofiler/plug_cbgallery/$id

I can see the foldercontent and add the picture in jce editor. But the image dont show. I get a "403 forbidden error" It is the same if I try too upload from Jce editor in to the users cb gallery folder.

I can upload images with the jce editor to other folders like joomla's own media gallery. And add them on the profile.

Edit: I tried to access the cb gallery's user folder from the backend. content > media > comprofiler > plug_cbgallery > user id.

But I can't see any pictures and gets the 403 forbidden error, is it suppose to be like that?

Direct access to images, files, etc.. is blocked by htaccess. Do not manage CB Gallery though FTP or media tools. You need to use CB Gallery backend as an upload is directly linked to a gallery entry.

Ok so with other words. It is impossible to make gallery content to show on the users profilpage?
Maybe something to consider? It maybe a powrful tool to make profiles not only textbased but more personal with images or even videos.

I don't understand what you're asking. CB Gallery comes with 4 tabs to display gallery content directly on their profile.

Yes. Ok I try with a scenario then:

1. The user Tim logs in on the page. The first thing he comes to is his own profile page presentation/info. right?

2. He whant to edit the profile presentation. He use the profile editor:

"Hey my name is Tim!"

3. He updates the presentation

4. He clicks on the gallery tab and uploads a picture on his cat.

5. Tim thinks: "Hmmm, i wonder if I can use the profile editor to submit my picture on my cat directly on the presentation."

So on the Tims presentation the content is following:
"Hey my name is Tim, welcome to my page, this is a picture of my cat <img href"" alt: "cat sleeping">"

OR does Tim need to write like this:

"Hey my name is Tim, welcome to my page, if you want to see a picture on my cat go to my gallery!"

Embed codes will be provided in a later release for embedding gallery content. For now there is no option beyond knowing the URL for the gallery entry and using that. Direct access to files will never be allowed for security purposes. It's all done through CB Gallery it self.
