Have reviewed your install. Your issue is due to 3rd party Joomla system plugin "JS Support Ticket icon". It's hooking into the buffer and forcing output causing the image endpoint to fail because it's now no longer a valid image byte array. I've disabled it for you and confirmed images are displaying fine now.
