[SOLVED] My Community Template Banner/Header Link Issue

8 years 6 months ago - 8 years 6 months ago #280137 by SuperHaven
The header/banner area on my site that is currently setup as a text link. When clicked it should link back to the homepage, but instead it only reloads the current page? Any thoughts?

As for a banner image opposed to text, is there a way to re-size that area to accept larger images?

It's using baseurl URL, which should be Joomla root and seams to work fine on our demosite below.

demotemplate.cbdemosites.com/index.php/forum/index

Ensure you've latest MyCommunity release installed.

Only way to fit larger images in the logo space is to use CSS and scale them down, but it's typically best to just supply an image that fits the space properly to avoid downscaling quality issues. You can adjust the column width sizes though to allow for more space within the templates parameters.

Replied by SuperHaven on topic My Community Template Banner/Header Link Issue
Sorry about the delayed reply; um this is odd...

I checked your reply, went to my site, duplicated the issue, logged into the admin control panel; before I could do anything I saw that Joomla 3.5.1 was available when I had been on 3.5.0.. I applied the update, and went back to the site to make sure the update did not break anything. By chance I clicked the header to go back to the homepage from the forums, and the link worked. I repeated this on a few other pages.

I do not know what changed but it is apparently fixed now?
