I'm getting very confused about video linking capability in CB.

The Video Plugin download states:

This is the last CB 1.9.1 compatible version. CB 2.0 has this functionality built-in.

Let your users link any public video as their CB Video field. 24 supported providers including: YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, Megavideo, etc.


However, when I create a video field, or try and link to a video, CB 2 will not allow any external link except YouTube. How do I link to Vimeo, Flickr, Megavideo, etc.?

There is no video plugin. You're looking at an archived file or news entry. Video field is built into CB and it supports Youtube or any direct video source (e.g. mp4). Those other providers no longer are supported until we've developed API for better outputting a videos native player HTML.
