I have no conditions or criteria set up.

I have disabled several plugins and will see if that helps.

Another error that I began getting, after the last CB update, is that when I do Approve a new user I am getting the following error (it disappears after reloading the page):
Illegal mix of collations (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation '=' SQL=SELECT M.* FROM `#__users` AS M LEFT JOIN `#__jnews_subscribers` AS N ON M.email = N.email WHERE M.registerDate > '2016-03-14 17:09:18' AND N.id IS NULL AND M.block=0

I am not finding the culprit and hope you have a clearer view of the possibilities!

FYI, I have been successfully using CB to manage a membership of 3,000 since 2008 and have had no problems until recently.

Linda

You have mixed collations in your database. Edit your Joomla database and ensure all tables have utf8_general_ci collation using phpmyadmin or whatever database management software your host provides.

I have waited until all the other issues were resolved but now I am having a HUGE problem with members that are enabled in Joomla and have been confirmed and approved in Community Builder suddenly showing as unconfirmed and unapproved. If they try ro login they get an email thanking them for signing up as a new member. This happens with no visible reason and happens without any warning.

As a Professional Member is it possible for you to check my installation to see WHAT I am doing that is causing this?

Are they registering through CB? If they aren't they're going to be unconfirmed and unapproved as they don't exist in CB where those columns exist. Run CB > Tools > Synchronize Users to synchronize the tables then stop using Joomla or 3rd party registrations. There's nothing in CB to suddenly stop them from being confirmed or approved. Please ensure both Joomla and CB are up to date (we've just released 2.0.15).

Both Joomla and Community Builder are always kept up to date. The registrations all come through CB, not the Joomla registration.

All CB tools are run regularly.

Registration in Joomla is turned off.

Is there a way to have the username and email address written to the comprofiler table at registration, rather than the Joomla users table?

No, CB does not store the username at all. It is entirely handled by Joomla in the _users table. The same for the email address. Why are you needing those to be in CBs database table?
