Hi,

I am not sure why but one of my member can't access the platform and its account. On the back-end things are ok and this only happen to one user which is strange. We tried changing the password and it worked: the user could log in into the the system but still couldn't access/modify its account.

Can I give you the credentials so you have a look at it?

They can't access their profile edit? What are they seeing? Blank screen? Tested with debug mode and maximum error reporting? Blocked by CB AntiSpam?

can't login: meaning the password is always invalid (event the reset password sent by CB). Strange thing is that it only happens to one user

Once I could login but couldn't access my profile page... This started 3 days ago, was working perfectly before

Check your _users database and ensure the password is encrypted. There was a rare plain text password store bug in CBSubs, but as you've no CBSubs something deliberately configured could be plain password storing. Aside from that I've no idea as CB has nothing to do with validating a users password as that's entirely done with Joomla API (we just pass the input values to Joomla login api). Try disabling the CB system plugin in Extensions > Plugins and see if Joomla login module has same issue.

Is this done from the Cpanel or from Joomla? Do you know the usual direction of CB password in the Cpanel?

You need to use phpmyadmin, which is typically accessed from cPanel. Contact your host if you're unsure where to find phpmyadmin. If the password is easily readable plaintext then the storage is broken somehow. Otherwise I've no idea why your logins aren't working unless you migrated from an older Joomla or something and the encrypted passwords broken or aren't compatible. Does changing the password permanently solve the problem?
