Edit the default green 'New Blog' Button

Edit the default green 'New Blog' Button was created by jameselvidge
Hi,
How do I edit the default green 'New Blog' button? I'm using the blog function for private journaling and would rather it say 'new entry' or something other than 'new blog.' I'm just not sure where to look to find that in the ftp files. If you could point me to the exact location and any specific instructions I should follow that would be awesome. Thank you.

Is there actually forum support at all on this site?? I once again found the answer to my own question. So, for anyone that ever stumbles upon this and would like to change the text for the default 'New blog' button on their blog page here is where you will find it.
Components > com_comprofiler > plugins > user > plug_cbblogs > template > default > Tab.php
Mine was at line #69.
I'm using my blog for a journaling function on a private learning site so I wanted to change the button text as our clients aren't really blogging. They're just making journal entries.

For that you need to modify the template files as you've discovered, but I do not recommend modifying the default template files. First create a new folder called "mytemplate" for example. Next copy tab.php and index.html from the default template folder into your "mytemplate" folder. Next within CB > Plugin Management > CB Blogs > Parameters change the Template to "mytemplate". Now modify tab.php as needed. This will prevent your changes from being lost on upgrades, etc.. The alternative is to restyle the button entirely with CSS.

Default Template Path:
components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbblogs/templates/default/

As explained in your other topic you posted outside of business hours. See my signature for business hours. I get to posts as soon as possible on the following business day after a weekend (Monday).

I don't know why you view it as negative to finding your own solutions. I would hope our search functionality was also utilized as modifying plugin template files has also been explained several times. We're also working on a new website where providing documentation and tutorial resources will be significantly easier and better organized.
