I want my userlist to be publicly available but the profiles to be hidden. I've managed to set this up and have created guest access . When a guest clicks on a user profile, currently an error message "You are not authorized to view this page!" shows but I want a module inviting guests to join underneath.

I've created a module only viewable by guests but can't get this to show underneath. I assigned it to the CB "Profile" menu item but it's not showing.

Is there anything I've missed? Have I assigned it to the correct menu item?

Cheers, David

I want my userlist to be publicly available but the profiles to be hidden.

Set your userlists "Access Level" to "Public" then within CB > Configuration > User Profile set "Profile View Access Level" to "Registered".

I've created a module only viewable by guests but can't get this to show underneath. I assigned it to the CB "Profile" menu item but it's not showing.

CB has nothing to do with module assignment and display. See the below for Joomla Guest usage.

Hi Kyle,

I am also having difficulty trying to display Members fields (that are set to Public, e.g. name, email, branch) for Public view and have the Userlist "Access Level" set to "Public".

The menu link to this CB userlist is also set to Public and the CB Tab containing these fields is also set to Public, but the link is going to the CB login page and not displaying this userlist without login in...

The Usergroups selected for this CB Userlist are Registered members, is this preventing this list displaying to Public?

Or is there something else I need to change to make this list display for Public view?

Thanks,

Dion.

Navigate to a users profile and see if you can see that information on their profile. If you can't then you won't be able to see it on a userlist either. The only exception is if the tab is in a not shown on profile position. There are several access checks involved like the plugin access, then the tab access, then potential access on the field it self (e.g. not set to display or CB Privacy). Ensure CB Core within CB > Plugin Management is public access.

The Usergroups selected for this CB Userlist are Registered members, is this preventing this list displaying to Public?

No, that just tells the userlist what usergroups of users it should display.

Thanks Kyle,

It turned out to be one of the Tabs that some of the fields were in that was set to Registered, changing this Tab Acess Level to Public fixed this issue and allowed this userlist to display without having to login.

Thanks again.
