Community Builder Image Display Format

We recently installed Community Builder on our organization's soon to go live new website based on Joomla 3.5. Each artist member has up to 6 images posted as Featured works. Our old website which is still active was based on Joomla 1.0. The back end page for each community member includes a Featured Works tab providing options for the image display. We have been successful using Picture Gallery list lightbox format. When viewing the images in the front end right and left carets appear in a white framed window to navigate to next and previous. An X is also displayed which when clicked takes the viewer back to the original image group as it should. In the new site back end the member or User page does not offer a Featured Works tab and I can find no way to select a display format. All of our data has been successfully ported to the new site. The images are all there. When they are viewed in the front end a similar window opens with left and right carets. However, when one clicks the small x which appears in the upper right corner of the black framed area it reverts to the previous image whereas it should close the viewing and return to the group. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this? Thank you.

Not sure what this has to do with CB. Are those image fields that you're using a lightbox to alter their display? Is your tab a 3rd party tab for an image gallery? Why not use CB Gallery?

Thank you, but we are using CB Gallery. Our complaint is that the small "x" in the upper right corner does not close the viewing process back to the start group of thumbnails. On our original site we were using Profile Gallery which is incompatible with CB 2.0. I cannot see how to access any display format options within CB Gallery on the back end. Please note, I am not a developer, but I am managing the site for our non-profit organization and trying hard to clean up the glitches while learning more every day before we go live with our new version.

CB Galley is currently undergoing a rewrite where the X to close a modal window is working fine. I'm unsure if it's bugged in current release, but it's possible. Please ensure you've the latest nightly release found below.

There are no display format options. If you want to change how CB Gallery displays you need to alter its template files found below.

Thank you Kyle. That's great information. I'm not losing my mind after all. Is there any trick to activating and installing the nightly update? I suppose I should perform a back up of the site first. Maybe there's a video on it. This will be my inaugural attempt.

Our developer thinks it works as it was designed to work. Click the X, if on the first slide, it goes back to thumbs. If several slides in, goes to previous. Click outside the image and it goes back to thumbs. Not a bug. I disagree. To me it is not logical to expect viewers to know to click outside of the box to return to the thumbnails and even less logical for the x to do what the left caret already does on all except, possibly, the first image. Do you know how it is supposed to work? How do you define a modal window?

Our guy is afraid that if we install the nightly release things could go sideways and we will be facing a costly fix.

Can you tell us how long ago the current CB Gallery was actually updated?
