CBSubs change of Tax problem was created by ricco1
Hi,

Recently the tax in Greece changed from 23% to 24%. We've accordingly changed the Geographic Zone Entry in the CBSubs Taxes. Now the tax for the new payments from Greek customers is 24% as it should be but that's not the case with the already existing recurring payments which we receive from our Greek customers! What do we need to change in order to apply the the new 24% tax for the future recurring payments which we will receive to the already existing subscriptions?

Thank you

You can not alter the price of recurring subscriptions. You could try applying the tax at the payment gateway (not many gateways support this, but PayPal fees for example should work with CBSubs) or you'll need to cancel all the recurring payments so they can renew with the new tax value calculated into the price.

Please understand this is not a limitation of CBSubs, but of the gateways; they do not permit changing a recurring price on a user for obvious reasons.

Kyle, you should make it official please, something like: "We are sorry, we are not able to continue the development of CBSubs for normal PayPal recurring payments as the demands from that payment gateway are too hight and we cannot keep up."

Why are you misleading people that CBSubs can handle normal recurring payments through PayPal? It took me years to understand that!

Dear ricco1,

With respect, this is simply not true.

You did not understand Kyle's answer: This is not a limitation of CBSubs, but of Paypal itself: Paypal does not allow to change amounts for auto-recurring payments afterwards for payment subscriptions. Paypal requires the payment subscription to be cancelled and the customer to activate a new one.

CBSubs is being actively developed. CBSubs 4.1 has been released 3 weeks ago, and latest nightly fixes-release is less than a week old.
