Default value for Field Select List was created by AchLive
Hello, how you can set a default value for a field in a single selection for the profile view edit?
It seems that the option disappears if the field is not present during the account registration and if present in recording edit profile does not consider default.
Thanks for the support

The default registration value only applies if the field is displayed on registration. It does nothing beyond that. To set a field to a default value without it being displayed you need to use CB Auto Actions and a Field action on the after registration trigger. There are plans to improve the default parameter usage to extend to edit display and possibly store the default on registration as well.

What plans?

To allow the default value to function in both profile edit, registration, and profile views; basically it'll simply become "Default" to set the default value for a field when no value exists (NULL in database). Have added a feature ticket to keep track of this.
