Language debugging appears enabled within CB > Configuration > Integrations. This should not be enabled by default. Is this a completely new install?

Kyle,
No it was the text around the headings i used that one as an example.
it changed all the menus, articles categories etc in the site and caused havoc, i un-installed the application, and wiped the tables and all records of the component, cause your un-install leaves a load of junk which means you need to do some manual editing.

Once that was completed i was able to re-install the application and i am only installing things as i need them, and testing things, also i am insuring i take a backup pre-install and post install for recovery points.

I don't understand how changing menus and articles has anything to do with causing havoc with CB.

cause your un-install leaves a load of junk which means you need to do some manual editing.

We only leave the database and the image folder for CB. As far as i'm aware every extension does this. Not away of a single extension that removes its database on uninstall to avoid data loss. So not sure what you mean by load of junk.

Once that was completed i was able to re-install the application and i am only installing things as i need them, and testing things, also i am insuring i take a backup pre-install and post install for recovery points.

You shouldn't have to do any of that for reinstall. Simply install it over existing install. If you uninstalled then installing again is also fine.

I guess I'm at a loss as to what your problem is. The characters you're seeing are from language debugging. Either CBs or Joomlas is enabled.
