Hi Kyle,

How can I find out if the new version contains an update to the SQL columns? I have a multisite environment and I can update the php code between all the columns, however it does not automatically add new columns in the children DBs. How can I recognise new plugin versions that add MySQL ALTER TABLE requests?

Do you have this kind of information in the version number? Do nightlies also introduce these?

Do not update by copying files over. The one and only proper update process is to install normally. You can run CB tools to do database corrections, but by not installing the install scripts will never run. So any changes or fixes done by those install scripts will all be missing. Database changes can come with any release.
