Hi,

I've just started using CB Invites and was wondering if it's possible to automatically populate the email field in the Profile registration screen when a user clicks the link in their invite email.

This would make it easier for users to register by removing the need for them to fill in their email, it would also eliminate the possibility of email address mistakes on registration (due to the autocomplete issue mentioned elsewhere, I've removed email address from the Edit screen).

My new setup doesn't require users to reconfirm their address after clicking the first email invite link as this seems a bit redundant.

Cheers

David

No, that's the point of the invite code field. It's completely independent of email and allows accepting the invite regardless of what they register with. It will auto populate when using the invite URL if it's preset on the registration page.

Thanks Kyle, I get that it's independent of email but in the interests of streamlining sign-up, it would be easier to auto-populate email with the email used, if possible. If the user wants to change it, they can delete the pre-filled email and enter another. My guess is that 90% of the time, user will enter the same email that received the email.

It would be a good option for admins to consider, in any case.

Will consider it for a future release. It may not even be doable depending on how the email field handles registration display.
