I'm out of ideas what's going on with your install. Many of the images not working simply do not exist. For the ones that do exist it could be a migration issue, but you need to provide the before and after database rows as I've requested for me to see if the query to insert the asset value maybe wrong.

i have done put my users pix up again, so i am on the new gallery 2 now.

but i i have stille my test server an a old bag up, so i you will i can help you to work on it

You need to find an image that's bugged. Find its database row in _comprofiler_plugin_gallery_items and export that 1 bugged row. Now revert to a backup and find that row again (by its ID) and export that 1 row that is now working again. Once done provide both rows and will compare them to see if there could be an issue with how asset is being created. The path to a file includes the user id and the type of that gallery entry. If either of those are migrated incorrectly it won't be able to find the file.

I am not able to replicate this issue on several test installs. This so far is entirely isolated to just your site.
