Language overrides : Not working was created by testeuse
Hi,

I just have upgrade CB to last version to use language override.

When i go to plugin fr-FR / override, i change the sentences i want to change and nothing happen...

What should i do more please? Is there another plugin to enable or something?

Last question : I am working on a dev site top update my components so i would like to know, if i fill the language override for CB on DEV site can i just copy/paste the "override.php" file on the online site to have all my custom translations?

You need to click save for it to save and generate the override file. Yes, you can copy the override.php wherever you like. If you add your overrides to a language other than default then those overrides will only load if that language is actually loaded. Aside from that you need to better describe what you mean by nothing happens (e.g. doesn't save? doesn't display your overrides? overriding existing language key? is the key correct? adding new language keys?).

Hi Krileon,

Sorry, i will try to be more detailed in my description.

i have a french site so i am using the french plugin 2.0.14.1.0.5

I open the plugin go to override tab and add new key and text and then save it but the translation is not showing on the site, does not display my overrides.

I used existing language keys but i am not sure what key is...

What is a key exactly? is it only a sentence that is on the site like the screencapture?
Or should i add something like this : "LOGIN_NOT_CONFIRMED" ?

You said that :

I don't know if i have to do something special but i have already changed 2/3 sentences in the language file before trying the override plugin and it was working, display my changes in the file manually.

My guess is the language key you're using either isn't valid or your language plugin isn't loaded. You can find the language keys by enabling language debugging within CB > Configuration > Integrations or you can edit your language files to find the keys. The alternative is you can translate it using its English string.

Ok, thank you but what is a language key please?

Is this that : "LOGIN_NOT_CONFIRMED" or this : "UE_SENDCONNECTIONREQUEST"

Or this : "Your login is not confirmed" or 'Demande de relation directe'

?

Are those text in my screencapture language keys?

Within CB > Configuration > Integrations set "Translations Highlighting" to "Markers and List All Strings" then refresh the the profile page and at the bottom you'll find a list of language strings. Just match the translated string to its key and that gives you the language key. Alternatively edit the language files for your language plugin and find the key that matches that string, but I'm guessing that says "Request Connection" which is the language key UE_SENDCONNECTIONREQUEST.
