I am using the online module to show which users are online, but it only shows the user's username. I see in the module it has a tab for custom latest, but changing this does not appear to change the output.
I would like to display more meaningful information about my users, eg the field about their particular interests.
Is there any way I can do this?

Have added a feature ticket to see about adding a parameter that lets you supply your own substitution supported output for each row, which would avoid needing to make a layout.
