Hi there,

I want the users on my website to register directly into the CB-userlist rather than into the joomla core userlist.
I have therefore put joomla-settings User-registration allowed on "no", and I only use CB-registration forms.

Nevertheless users are registrated in the joomla user list and I need to synchronise the CB-userlist to get them in into the CB-userlist.
The CB connect doesnt seem to work either, as there is no FB-ID -entry (if the registration is in the joomly-userlist, that is of course also understandable).

Do you have an idea what I need to do?

Best regards
Peter

CB extends Joomla users. It does not replace it. They will always be registered into Joomla and CB. I've no idea what you're referring to regarding user list. When managing users only use CB > User Management.

CB Connect doesn't let you supply a Facebook ID. You click the button in your CB Login module to register using your Facebook data. If already registered then you need to link your account by first logging in normally then clicking the Link button in your CB Login module.

Hi, thanks.
What I meant was that some users that registered in the past showed up in the Joomla user list only, and not in the CB list.

Facebook button works, I have tried it again with some persons.
My concern now is people registering manually.

Best regards
Peter

If Joomla registration is off then they can't register manually through Joomla. They will have to use CBs registration. Users that existed before CB was installed can be fixed by running user synchronization within CB > Tools. If you want to turn off all registration except through CB Connect then set "Allow User Registration" within CB > Configuration > Registration to 'Same as CMS "allow registration"' then turn off registration in Joomla.

OK, that was the point.
Might be that the german description is a little confusing as I understand the wording the other way around (saying "use 'Yes' in order to be independent of cms, and disable the cms registration"). That's why I set the false value there.

Thanks for your help.
